Questly: Gaming Hub — Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By creating an account or otherwise using Questly: Gaming Hub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which together form a legally binding agreement between you and Questly: Gaming Hub. Questly: Gaming Hub is a social gaming companion that lets you track your game library, follow friends, and join communities. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country or region) to use Questly: Gaming Hub. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may only use Questly: Gaming Hub with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Questly: Gaming Hub is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 13. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the app.
2. User-Generated Content, EULA & Zero-Tolerance Policy
Questly: Gaming Hub provides communities, channels, direct messaging, reviews, and profile content. This section, together with these terms as a whole, serves as the End User License Agreement (EULA) governing your use of the app and any content you create or encounter. You retain ownership of the content you post, but grant Questly: Gaming Hub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and provide the service. You strictly agree NOT to post, transmit, or share content that is offensive, defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise illegal. Questly: Gaming Hub maintains a STRICT ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for objectionable content and abusive users. To enforce this, Questly: Gaming Hub provides native, easy-to-use in-app tools to filter content, report inappropriate material or users, and block offensive users. We use automated filtering on publicly visible text (usernames, display names, bios, reviews, community names and descriptions, and community channel messages). Reported content and users are reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours, and any user found violating these terms may be removed and banned without prior notice. Private one-to-one direct messages are visible to the participants and are not automatically filtered, but remain subject to blocking and reporting.
3. Acceptable Use & Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information, to use only one account unless expressly permitted, and not to impersonate others. You agree not to scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or abuse the service or its systems, not to circumvent rate limits or security controls, and not to use automated means to send messages or generate activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe threaten the safety or integrity of the service or its users.
4. Third-Party Services, Sub-Processors & External Links
Questly: Gaming Hub relies on trusted third-party services to operate. Game metadata, cover art, and release dates are provided by the Internet Game Database (IGDB), accessed via Twitch authentication. Game descriptions and storylines are machine-translated using an AI language service (OpenAI, accessed through Replit AI Integrations); only public game text is sent for translation — your personal content is not. Transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, deletion confirmations, and support-ticket notifications) are delivered through our email provider (Resend). Push notifications are delivered through the Expo push service and the platform notification gateways operated by Apple (APNs) and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging). Our application and infrastructure are hosted on Replit. Questly: Gaming Hub also provides external routing links to official storefronts (such as PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, and Epic Games); we do not own, control, or guarantee the availability, accuracy, or pricing of information on those external platforms, and visiting them is at your own discretion and subject to their own terms.
5. Intellectual Property
All custom graphics, source code, UI designs, and the "Questly: Gaming Hub" brand elements are the exclusive intellectual property of Questly: Gaming Hub. Game titles, cover art, and platform logos displayed within the app belong to their respective publishers and copyright owners and are surfaced via fair-use API integration. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from Questly: Gaming Hub's proprietary materials without our written permission.
6. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the service. Account & credentials: your email address, username, and password (stored only as a securely hashed value). Profile: your display name, optional bio, chosen avatar color, and any profile or community image you upload from your device photo library. Gaming preferences: your preferred genres, primary platforms, play style, and play frequency. Library & activity: the games you add and their status, hours played, ratings, text reviews, favorites, the achievements you unlock, and the experience points and level you earn from using the app, along with the activity events these actions generate. Social graph: your friends, follows, blocks, per-user activity notification subscriptions, and community memberships and roles. Communications: the direct messages and community channel messages you send (including shared game, profile, or community cards). Device & technical data: your push notification token and device push platform, your language and locale preference, a record of which release and add-on alerts we have already sent you (so we do not notify you twice), and standard technical data such as IP address and server logs used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. Support & moderation: the reason and details you provide in abuse reports, and the name, email, and message you provide in support requests. Verification: temporary one-time codes used for email verification, password reset, and account-deletion confirmation. We do not collect location, contacts, camera, or microphone data, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking technologies.
7. Device Permissions (Photos & Notifications)
Questly: Gaming Hub requests only the device permissions required for specific features, and each is optional. Photo Library: when you choose to set a profile picture or a community image, the app requests access to your photo library so you can select an image; only the image you explicitly select is accessed and uploaded, and we do not scan or read your broader photo library. Notifications: when you opt in, the app requests permission to send push notifications and generates a device push token so we can deliver the alerts you have enabled. You can grant or revoke either permission at any time in your device settings; if a permission is denied, the app continues to function and simply skips the related feature.
8. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: create and secure your account; personalize your home feed, release calendar, recommendations, and library tracking based on your preferences; power social features such as friends, follows, communities, and messaging; deliver the notifications you opt into (game releases, downloadable-content releases, followed-user activity, and direct or community messages); translate game descriptions into your chosen language; keep the service safe by preventing abuse, enforcing rate limits, and moderating publicly visible content; send transactional emails such as verification and password-reset codes; respond to your support and abuse reports; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
9. How We Share Your Information
We share information only in limited ways. With service providers (sub-processors): the hosting, game-data, AI translation, email, and push-notification providers described in Section 4, strictly to operate the service on our behalf. With other users: your public profile details and any content you choose to post in communities or send in messages are visible to the intended recipients or community members. For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Questly: Gaming Hub. We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
10. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You reserve the absolute, native right to delete your account at any time from the settings dashboard; deletion is confirmed with a one-time code and permanently purges your profile, gaming library, preferences, messages, community memberships, and associated social data from our production servers. A limited amount of information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or enforce our terms, and residual copies may persist in routine backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
11. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Within the app you can review and edit your profile and preferences, control which notifications you receive, mute conversations, block or report other users, and delete your account and its data at any time. To exercise any privacy right that is not available directly in the app, or to ask a question about your data, contact us at supports@questly.info. We will respond in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR and the CCPA where they apply to you.
12. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including hashing of passwords, encrypted transport over HTTPS, secure on-device storage of authentication tokens (keychain or keystore), and session-invalidation controls. While we work hard to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children's Privacy
Questly: Gaming Hub is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under the applicable minimum age has provided us with personal information, please contact us at supports@questly.info and we will take steps to delete such information and close the account.
14. International Data Transfers
Questly: Gaming Hub is operated using cloud infrastructure and service providers that may store and process your information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where required, we take appropriate steps to ensure that international transfers of personal data are protected in accordance with applicable law. By using Questly: Gaming Hub, you understand that your information may be processed in these locations.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our features, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document, and material changes may be highlighted within the app. Your continued use of Questly: Gaming Hub after an update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Questly: Gaming Hub is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or absolute uptime of our backend servers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Questly: Gaming Hub shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
17. Contact Us
